A Tropical Glam Inspired Christmas Table

A Tropical Glam Inspired Christmas Table

If you know my blog, you know that I love a bit of tropical in my interiors. So when it comes to Christmas, I continue to embrace my love of tropical style and work it into my Christmas styling. Just because it's Christmas, it doesn't mean you need to alter your home interiors style.

There are cactuses, flamingos and pineapples on our Christmas tree and I've matched my festive staircase pom pom creation (you can have a look at that here and see how I created it) to our pineapple print wallpaper, bringing a huge pop of bright Christmas colour to our home as soon as you walk through the front door.

We are big on food in our family and as much as the food is important on Christmas Day, entertaining and the look of the Christmas table is equally important to me. It's such a lovely part of the day, all sitting down at a beautifully laid table together ready to share a meal and as the person who usually lays the Christmas table, I love the wow factor a special table can create.

The dining room in our house features a lot of copper and gold along with a feature wall of Matthew Williamson's Cubana Metallic Bronze wallpaper and it's the look of this room that has inspired this year's Christmas table design. We are actually having Christmas dinner at my sister's house down the road this year but I shall be taking my Christmas table inspiration with me to create something similar at her home.

Aswell as the Christmas table, I like to decorate the fireplace too and give it a bit of a similar feel. It's Christmas so you can never overdo it, can you?

I like to call this table style 'Tropical Glam Christmas' - well, if it's snowing outside, you've got to bring the glamour somewhere haven't you! I've mixed metallic accessories with palm print and leopard patterns and both faux and real foliage to create an elegant tropical inspired Christmas feel.

All of the items featured are homeware or dining accessories I already own including the below -

House of Hackney Palmeral placemats and coasters

Next Bird sculpture

H&M Leopard paper napkins

Ikea artificial Eucalyptus

Hema gold party hats and glitter star straws

George Home rose gold cutlery set

Oliver Bonas metallic pineapple salt and pepper shakers

LSA metallic champagne flutes

Now, roll on Christmas Day! Have you decided what look you're going for with your Christmas table? I'd love to know!
